2019 AFL GF STATS: TIGERS V GIANTS

1. Regardless of the result, Alastair Clarkson or a 'Clarkson Disciple' will coach a 7th consecutive premiership.


2. GWS are the first non-Victorian club to make the Grand Final from outside the top 4 under the current top-8 system.


3. Richmond attempting to win an equal club record 12 consecutive games.


4. Richmond Debutant Marlion Pickett could break the record for the fewest games by a premiership player in the AFL era. Current record is held by Adelaide Crows 1997 premiership player Aaron Keating.


5. GWS' Matt de Boer is the first player in 115 years to play in the first Grand Final appearance for two different VFL/AFL clubs.


6. GWS have made the Grand Final in just their 8th season. This means the club overtakes Brisbane's previous record (15th season) of a team in a non-AFL state making the Grand Final in the quickest time since being established.


7. If Norm Smith Medal favourite Dustin Martin ultimately wins the medal, he will joi


n only Gary Ayers, Andrew McLeod and Luke Hodge as multiple winners.


8. A crowd of 100,023 or more will be the largest attended Australian Football game since the 1986 VFL Grand Final when Hawthorn defeated Carlton.
